UNC-PrimeCare is a HRSA Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training (BHWET)-funded program in the School of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The program developed a student training model and fostered local partnerships to reduce workforce shortages and enhance the skills of current community providers. Over the past 10 years, UNC-PrimeCare secured more than $6.75 million in HRSA and state funding to train behavioral health students to serve in under-resourced communities.

Maryland Area Health Education Center Program (MAHEC Program) including the partner Area Health Education Centers (AHECs) in the state (i.e., AHEC West, Eastern Shore, Central Maryland AHEC) implemented a structured and effective partnership model to develop and sustain collaborations that support healthcare workforce training, distribution, and transformation.
